DevOpsPad is a desktop app with no account and no DevOpsPad server. It does not collect analytics or telemetry. Your connections, queries and results stay on your machine.
Network requests the app makes
| Destination | When | What is sent |
|---|---|---|
| Databases, clusters and SSH hosts you configure | When you test a connection, browse or run a query | Whatever that operation needs, using your credentials |
| The AI provider you configure (if any) | When you send a prompt | Your prompt and the engine name; resource names only if you enable it. Details |
api.github.com | At launch and every six hours | A request for the latest DevOpsPad release, with a DevOpsPad/<version> user agent |
What is stored on your machine
- Connection profiles in
workspace.jsonunder the app's config directory (macOS:~/Library/Application Support/DevOpsPad/). - Secrets in the OS keychain.
- Saved queries, and query drafts if you turn on draft recovery, in the app's local web storage. Drafts are not encrypted.
- Infra project files, release records and AI run records in the project directory (default macOS path:
~/Library/Application Support/DevOpsPad/applications), which you can share through Git.
Query history is kept in memory only and is cleared when you switch workspaces or quit.
